What Have We?

What does the night have without the stars?
What does the sea reflect without the moonlight?
What does the ocean sing without waves of blue?
And what does a day have without you?

Darkness.

    While reading I thought your questions were all going to be rhetorical until the bold one word answer, which made the ending more powerful.
